NMV supports schools, educators, and school leaders and safeguards Montessori quality in a context where Montessori education operates at scale within national accountability structures.

NMV’s role and mandate are exercised within the Dutch public education system, including applicable laws, inspectorate frameworks, and national accountability structures.

The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) was founded in 1929 by Maria Montessori to safeguard the integrity of her work and to ensure its faithful continuation internationally.
